Several weeks ago, employees and guests gathered at the Ritz Carlton to honor an extraordinary couple and to raise money for a good cause. Northwestern Medicine held its inaugural benefit dinner for the Board of Directors of Digestive Health Foundation . Guests were treated to a pre dinner cocktail hour complete with hors d’oeruvres .
Attendees of the benefit could bid on great live auction prizes like a Chicago Sports fan package, gourmet package and this great trip to Hollywood to attend the 68th Prime Time Emmy Awards.

Andrea and James Gordon served as Event Chairs for the evening and the honorees were Jayne and Dr Stephen Hanauer . Dr Hanauer had dedicated his career to aiding patients with digestive disorders and Jayne had supported his endeavors. The couple were given two champagne flutes with 14kt gold stems. Dr Hanauer and his wife had gotten together when they were in middle school and even transferred to be together.
With a choice of steak or salmon, attendees enjoyed a delicious gourmet meal. Besides the auction, the partygoers engaged in a lively game of heads or tails. Record amounts were paid for the live auction packages.
