Pizza is a Work Of Art at Dimo’s

Everyone loves pizza and we have discovered a real gem.  Not far from the friendly confines of Wrigley Field, is a place where they make pizza a work of art.  Dimo’s Pizza prides themselves on pushing the envelope. Not just cheese and meat, but the tastiest combinations of ingredients that satisfy the ardent pizza lover and gourmet.

Mike was our guide on this pizza lovers journey. He took great pride in describing each creation. Where to start? Dimo’s is well known for their macaroni and cheese pizza, so that was the first dish we tried.  A homemade crust is covered with noodles, cheddar cheese , and a creme fraiche sauce that makes it the ultimate comfort food.  Jen loves potatoes, so we had to have some of their delicious cheesy potato pizza. It is a potato and cheese lovers dream with three kinds of cheese and golden Yukon potatoes. Garnished with parsley, it is a taste treat.   Dimo’s chefs are always up for a challenge, and we got the opportunity to try a really original dish, Crab Ragoon Pizza.  Even though it was not covered with the traditional tomato and cheese, it was a treat with its wontons, onions, and crab meat.

Meat is one of the staples on any pizza I eat. Dimo’s goes beyond by trying the most unusual and tastiest pizzas that I have encountered.  Using one of my fave ingredients, Sweet Ray’s BBQ sauce, they made a steak and fries pizza that really sticks to your ribs. Mexican spices are not too spicy on the steak nacho pizza, they are just right.  The best thing about Dimo’s pizza is that you can either order a slice of your favorite pizza or order one for those evenings after holiday shopping.  The price is truly right.

Dessert is a great ending to a meal and Dimo’s brought it on with a yummy s’more pizza. The crust was covered with chocolate , marshmallow, and the most adorable teddy graham crackers on top of the pizza. It was too cute for words and so tasty.

So if you crave the unusual , Dimo’s is the place where your pizza dreams can come true. They are located in the heart of Wrigleyville at 3463 North Clark.

Here is an example of one of the pizza delights that you will find at Dimo’s. All of the crusts are homemade and made right on the premises.

Here is a sinfully delish pizza , the S’more. It is as tasty as it looks and ours was covered with little teddy grahams.

You can also get salads at Dimo’s. Here is their huge Greek salad chocked full of olives, feta, and other goodies.
