On November 12, Steve Starr passed away. Steve was many things to many people . He was a dear friend, he was a mentor, and he was an institution in Chicago society. Whenever the stylish and glitterati gathered , Steve was there. A familiar sight at any event would be Steve, his trademark smile, and his camera. His fame reached outside of the Windy City, since Steve was known for his photographs of celebrities. Steve also graced the side of the Red Carpet in Hollywood as well.
We at Chitownstarconnections were very saddened by Steve’s passing. We hadn’t known him for that long, but he made both Jen and I feel better about our selves. That was one of his gifts, making people feel more beautiful. He would always give us compliments and give Jen photography tips. She felt like she was getting lessons from the “Master”. One thing for sure, events won’t be the same without that confident smile and that camera displayed proudly around his neck.
