Barnes and Noble at Old Orchard hosted the Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson last Tuesday and chitownstarconnections was there. Hundreds of fans greeted the home town girl, as she made an appearance to sign her new book, I Got This. When Jennifer first arrived, it was like a Hollywood premiere with flash bulbs going off and calls of “Over Hear Jen.” It was every thing that I ever hope to have happen to myself whether it is as an actress or an author. Jen’s transformation with the help of Weight Watchers was amazing. She has the kind of body that we all dream of, and I plan to use it as inspiration. From now on it will be WWJD, What Would Jen Do? If girlfriend can do it, so can this artist.
I was amazed at the various types of people that had purchased the book to have Jennifer sign it. There were young and old people, black and white, straight and gay. I loved hearing some of the reasons why they were such fans of this truly inspirational singer-actress. One young girl gushed as she held tightly her copy of Jennifer’s book that Jennifer was so beautiful and so is her music. An older white woman exclaimed that Jennifer was a positive role model for young women because she came up from nothing to become this glamorous movie star. However, one of the most common responses came from women who were Weight Watcher clients themselves and said that Jennifer was the one who got them back on goal. All they had to do was go to the supermarket and see her on the cover and they would inspired once again.
Jennifer was so sweet too and she gave from the heart. The review of her book is coming and I am sure it would be inspirational to all who read it.
This woman was so inspired by Jen’s weight loss that she said that when she got off goal at Weight Watchers , she would see a picture of Jen and then get back on her diet. She was my inspiration for the day.
